A spontaneous play in the style of Caryl Churchill. Connected and heartfelt, revolutionary and irreverent, The Improvised Play is always of its time. Like the works of Caryl Churchill, we break and remake our format every night. Anything is possible, but we guarantee you’ll be surprised, provoked, and moved. We’ve chosen to emulate Caryl Churchill because we’re impressed by her honesty, her flexibility, her quiet genius and her revolutionary spirit. We hope her influence will shine through our work.

Seen the show twice already and I'm definitely going to go see it again. Several times. For loads of reasons. Here are three, because this is supposed to be a short review:
1. This show is never the same. In the beginning the audience gets to choose the show's topic by saying what they care deeply about. So each show is different and it's always an adventure.
2. The actors are incredibly talented people who are masters of improv. I've seen a lot of improv shows and these guys are killing it. Watching people on stage doing what they love is the best, even more so when they're very good at what they're doing and obviously having fun.
3. They manage to tell a story that will make you laugh and think and hold your breath. Every time.

I'll stop fangirling now, go see the show, it's amazing. Also: Caryl Churchill. Yes please.

Although the venue is some way from the centre of the craziness that is the Fringe, the peace away from the crowds is welcome. Good venue with friendly staff and interesting selection of drinks available.
I am by no means a veteran of improv theatre but I enjoy the genre because of the freedom it gives the performers.
The cast of 10 were very enthusiastic and all played a full role. One or two characters really stood out and I really enjoyed the personality of ‘Patricia’ who came and went through the hour-long show.
The range of characters developed by the cast was interesting and must have challenged them at times.
Overall, I really enjoyed the evening and would totally recommend it to anyone who wants something slightly different and quirky!

Just seen Love and Misinformation, this wasnt what I expected. Im used to mainly Improvised comedy but this was an excellent mix of drama and comedy. Lovely characters and relationships but with a through line that made it feel like a fully formed play. The company deserves an audience and you wont be dissapointed if you book this Improvised play.
