Description

Ranging from the bittersweet to the bawdy, from in-character monologues to heartfelt true confessions. 50 years on (FFS) from her first Fringe performance, our former Makar, aka National Poet of Scotland finds herself actually enjoying her veteran status as – supported by big licks from her one-man horn section Steve – she shares some of the brand-new stuff that got her through the lonesome lockdown alongside some old favourites. Funny, frank, soulful, shameless, true.

General venue access

  • Accessible entry: There is a temporary ramp over the 8 steep stone steps from street level to the venue foyer. The ramp has a small turning circle of 1m and therefore unfortunately is not suitable for an electric wheelchair user. Once inside the venue foyer, stall seating is accessible without any further assistance. Staff are happy to assist where possible and are unable to assist electric wheelchair users.

  • Stairs: 6 - 10
    Number of stairs is provided as guidance and is not in addition to any wheelchair access type (lift/ramp etc) stated above.

How and when to make an access booking

Our access tickets service is available to anyone who:

  • Would like to book specific accessibility services, e.g. a hearing loop, audio description headsets, captioning units, seating in relation to the location of the BSL interpreter
  • Requires extra assistance when at a venue
  • Has specific seating requirements
  • Is a wheelchair user
  • Requires a complimentary personal assistant ticket to attend a performance
