Description

United in their determination to support their country during World War Two, four young women join the Land Army. Working long hours and bereft of basic home comforts, they find hardship, camaraderie and romance. Based on 150 letters and interviews with original Land Girls, along with songs from the period, this is a funny, heart-warming and poignant tribute to their resilience and hard work.

Very informative play, bringing the voices of the women’s land army alive. The director did a beauty job with this play, very inspiring. The cast was good

Seen it Saturday 19th and what a beautiful play, very well acted from all four actresses. Very well told and great directing. Told many friends and family, shame I seen it on the last night.

Very interesting true storyline. The only thing to say was that one of the actresses in the khaki trousers and green jumper spoke very quickly and quietly and we could not hear a word that she said.

Four young ladies acted out this very informative play about the role of young women in the Second World War. They all acted very well and it was very well written. Very enjoyable.

Enjoyed the show. Warm, funny and enlightening stories from WWII. Performances were engaging.

Peter Edwards 38 days ago

An interesting and informative play about the Land Girls. Unfortunately the actress in the green jumper spoke so quickly and quietly that none of my group of 4 people could hear a word she said! Apart from that, it was a good play.

I went into this not sure what to expect. But I’m glad I saw this show. Amazing performances by all 4 cast members. If you’re looking for a show based around life in ww2 go and see this one.

An excellent production, bringing life to the words of the Land Girls first recorded decades ago and making it relevant for people in 2023.
