Part of the Fringe Central Events Programme for Fringe participants. Presented by Neil Patterson (Drake Music Scotland’s Let Me On Stage Champion) and Sam Maggs (Gig Buddies Scotland Project Coordinator) this talk, interspersed with performances, explores how disabled musicians are currently limited by several factors – from access to stages, to attitudes/awareness of programmers and audiences. Also discussed will be the work of Gig Buddies Scotland’s 'Real Gigs in Real Venues' initiative: inclusive events held in mainstream venues showcasing the work of artists with disabilities. Join us after for a drink and an informal meetup.
