Description

Following the success of last year's show, comic songwriter Liz Cotton is back. She's not writing about sex and handsome Bridgerton actors anymore. She's writing campaign songs about the environment. In fact, Liz Cotton has become an Eco-Warrior, in her very own village. This show is for anyone who likes comic songs, a bit of filth, and has even a passing interest in saving the planet. 'Cotton may have given me my Fringe experience of 2022' **** (Scotsman). 'Effortless storyteller' (Diana Miranda, The Play’s The Thing). 'Highly Recommended Show' (FringeReview.com)

Hilarious and heartfelt! Highly recommended!

The age-old yet too contemporary tale of complacent capitalism (in this case Anglia Water et al) and the communities that must come together to resist. Funny and inspiring. Thank you, Liz, and good luck Honey Hill!

Brilliant, Liz! Great story-telling, love the rude lyrics and just good fun - but with a serious message about the things that matter. Best way to start my Fringe Thursday - wearing a poo hat and singing about crap. Loved it!

As per usual, Liz Cotton has created a fantastic, witty, and rather rude show full of catchy and *hilarious* songs. I cannot reccomend it highly enough!

Steven Reakes 41 days ago

Pleasantly rude, deliciously crafted song writing and bang on the money commentary on the state we’re in with our current crop of leaders. You’ll be uplifted and inspired. A must see

Just loved this. Laughed throughout, and found myself wiping tears away at the end. Comedy, music, and poo. And amazing talent. What else could you possibly want from a show?

This is eco-comedy at its best! A real life campaign told in a funny, quirky way that charts Liz's life over the last few years. Hilarious and very clever!!! Highly recommend.

Liz's take on life is always amusing and self deprecating and this show adds a strong narrative arc to a series of songs and sketches which adds to the fun. Thoroughly recommended.

This is a must see show for anyone wanting to be entertained with funny, witty storytelling. A highly entertaining story by one woman and a guitar. I have told all of my friends about it and 2 have already been to see it. Liz Cotton you are a genius!!

Amazing show; it was entertaining, clever, and witty. However, the most important part of this show was that it is such an amazing story and needs to be told and shared. This was one of my favorite shows I have seen this year, and I won't soon forget it.

Entertaining and effective protest by an individual facing a powerful and corrupt corporation. Everyone needs to see this!

Imagine a one woman Richard Curtis film with the same kind of heart rending music - Liz Cotton is a female Jake Thackeray in her deft and humourous storytelling and her skilled guitar playing. You could be in the Vicar of Dibley as you meet the characters of a tiny village outside Cambridge in this true life story of their fight to stop the unnecessary and unenvironmental relocation by corrupt Anglia Water of a huge sewage plant to the area of natural beauty right next to her house.
Against the backdrop of her children leaving home and her wondering whether to sell her house and leave her husband, we follow Liz as she comes to love her neighbours and decide to stay as she joins them in the fight using her songs to bring them together. Highly recommended - and Save Honey Hill!

Brilliant show, funny and heartwarming. With sparkling wit and salty ballads, Liz Cotton draws the audience into a story that will resonate with so many of us worried about Britain’s water industry crisis. Not to be missed!

This has a delightful premise for a Fringe show: a combination of naughty and a fight.
