Description

Lara's a small Latin American girl (woman?) who won the Funny Women 2021 (right, "woman") Stage Award and is now doing her first hour about what it's like to be Latin and deaf and a girl who's now a woman at the same time. You know, minority jokes for majority crowds. If you read this and you don't come, what's that say about you? Huh? You hate disabled people? Maybe come and prove you don't! Love you. As seen on E4, Comedy Central and Dave. 'One word for Lara Ricote: Wow!... An electric presence' **** (Chortle.co.uk).

Couldn't disagree more with the previous post - sharp commentary on hidden disability and the realization that you are different only if and when you move to a different culture. Self-aware, of the wall and every now and again a really different standpoint. Go see - you will laugh!

The Skinny (4/5 stars) 41 days ago

Goofy yet sincere, and at the same time drawing big laughs out of an often unsuspecting audience, Ricote has a unique offering. And it feels like it’s only a matter of time before she hits it big.
