Description
Once upon a time, there was a young girl – not a princess or a pretty girl waiting to be one. No dress fanned out as she sat. She could barely sit in a dress. She saw no happily ever after on the horizon. Fresh from New York, ‘Cahn's sincerity and sharp humor are truly winning – I couldn’t stop laughing through the entire show’ (TheEasy.com). From princesses to periods, a look at gender, sexuality, and the near impossibility of growing up.Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Celeste is a grounded, present, determined performer. She shares her story of growing up a passionate, unapologetic girl with the same passion and forthrightness that has likely served her all her life. See if you are a kindred spirit who wants to feel seen in all your childhood specificity and strangeness.

This show honours the true spirit of the Fringe, surrounded by a fog of fried Mexican food and waiters whizzing by, Celeste does not falter as she embodies the various different characters that populate her critique/love letter to the Disney renaissance film. The writing will delight hard core fans with its deep cut references, whilst the satire and playful inclusion of feminist tropes keep flying, all culminating in a a finale that rewires the senses.
