Arguments, negotiations and secret murder plots result in strained relations between the two genders. Can the new leaders of Scotland reunite the country or will it be torn apart forever?

Kingdom
Trigger warning: you might never look at a Greggs sausage roll or iced do-ring in the same light.
Set in the future, Scotland’s long-standing cultural struggle with both gender equality and in-fighting is portrayed powerfully through satire and wit.
Cleverly produced and directed, with on-point attention to detail in costumes and props, the writing sparkles through the talented young actors. The characters convincingly symbolise both problems and solutions as they tantrum, cheat, lie, negotiate and re-group.
Although the main theme is sexism in society, there is much about sectarianism, land ownership, power, community wealth. Political - yes. But with a soft touch and a warmth. Worth a visit.

I was sold even just hearing the premise. A hilarious and poignant show. Although, it might be a while before I pick up a sausage roll again.

HOLY SHIT! My stomach was sore and my mouth was dry with how much I was laughing. It is such a relief watching a performance that can find the humour when talking and educating on important topics. Each cast member had equal opportunities and individually excelled! I’m still cackling at the perfectly timed Scottish wit. Having a simple set gave the actors and the writing even more opportunities to be heard- and I listened. THANK YOU IAN DUNN for writing this play… Also, what’s the beef with Fifers?

Lunar Theatre Company, you were amazing x

An amazing show with really talented actors who made the show come alive, pursues the reality of how both feminity and masculinity can be severely degraded towards another, in the past, present and future, highly recommended if you want to have a bit of banter too.

I loved this well written play, well directed, well acted, with great wit, energy and pace. Very entertaining, good natured tease on Scottish Nationalism, women vs men etc , etc.
GO!! Note even dates!

An incredible performance with young and extremely talented performers. Filled with Scottish humour that will make your stomach hurt by the end of the show. A really important message within the script, even though the play is patriotic, it will still resonate with any viewer that goes to watch. A must see show!!
