Description
Following a sell-out 2022 run at Glasgow's Oran Mor, acclaimed chanteuse Christine Bovill conjures Kiki de Montparnasse, the celebrated model and painter, as she relives her glory days in 1920's Paris and revisits her relationship with Man Ray (Andy Clark). This intimate, funny show features original songs by the composer/MD Hilary Brooks (Sunshine on Leith, Glasgow Girls) and the lyricist/playwright Clive King (Wee Free!, Melania). 'Bovill's astonishing voice, both creamy and sinister, wraps perfectly around the wonderful Brecht/Weill songs; hard-edged, political, melancholy and sometimes beautiful, they deserve to become classics in their own right' **** (Scotsman). Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted.
