Went to see this with my husband and the first thing to note is the incredible talent of the cast. Excellent comedic timing, beautiful singing voices. They were all brilliant, but the girl in the orange jumpsuit really stood out in terms of her acting and singing. Overall, I thought the plot, writing and direction was very good, especially the social media cesspit it depicted. The anti-police jokes were quite cheap compared to the rest of the show, especially when the fourth wall was broken, and it seemed like the writer had shoe-horned them in for sycophantic laughter. I preferred the genuine laughs caused by good acting and comedy writing, personally.

Hand on heart I’m not one for musical theatre , but my wife took me along and I was just blown away and loved every minute of the show . I loved it , the audience loved it , standing ovations at the end etc. I am no critic , I’m just your average punter who just loves live entertainment of all forms and this festival . I realised leaving the venue I had just witnessed something very special . I’ve been here all on my annual jolly to the fringe seeing some wonderful and wonderful shows of all genres that made me laugh , think , smile and even cry with happiness ,but this show just was on another level and if it does not end up in the west end I’ll be amazed . If you are like me and just spending a few days or a week at this incredible festival, don’t um and ar about buying a tickets , just buy the ticket and enjoy probably the best show on in town .
