Description

'He was a traitor boy, he killed a dictator boy...'. All roads lead to Rome with Bristol Shakespeare Festival's riotously daft take on the original political thriller! Find out if you're Team Brutus or Team Julius to the timeless tunes of The Beatles, the Bee Gees, Mary Poppins, My Chemical Romance and a myriad more – all ridiculously rewritten to tell the story of Rome's most perforated politician. Bring your friends – but watch your back...! Praise for Macbeth: The Musical: 'Laugh out loud" **** (BroadwayWorld.com). 'Psychotically upbeat' **** (TheWeeReview.com).

The best show of our visit this year. Huge energy, great voices and songs, would go again if it was still on.

Saw this at its last performance, therefore too late to recommend to family and friends unfortunately...but I'll definitely return next year for another dose of Shakespearean musical mayhem if this company's back. Absolutely flippin loved it.

Delightfully unhinged jukebox musical retelling of Shakespeare's story- plenty of great gags, goofs and spoofs from a talented cast- If ever there was a show that embodies the "Spirit of the Fringe" it's this one!

A powerful retelling full of drama, political nuance and murder, via the medium of pop. An absolute joy, go see it.

Really funny, clever material, and the cast hold nothing back in the delivery. A very entertaining show to kick off my Fringe experience

We loved it! Some very talented voices and great rapport amongst the cast. Checking our producer against the tyrant checklist and will be organising a coup imminently :)

10/10 comedic masterpiece. I laughed and laughed. I am keeping my leaflet and tracking my friends dissent into dictorship.
