Description
Los Angeles-based comedian Julian Stern (Fringe 2022's Absolute Friendship, McSweeney's, Maxim Magazine, Playstation) returns to Fringe with an hour of stand-up and musical comedy about obsessive joy's perseverance over irrational fear. Crowd-favourite songs like Anne Hathaway at Target, The Ballad of the Poop Train Girl, and Whole Foods Rotisserie Chicken of Misery will return, along with new jokes about living with OCD and diving down the deepest rabbit holes his obsessions will allow! Last year's audiences called Absolute Friendship: 'Must-see!', 'Brilliant!', 'Heartfelt and thoughtful!', 'An absolute blast!', 'So much fun!', and 'Can't-miss!'Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. I wish I had been able to write this review earlier in the festival as I believe today is the final day to see the show, BUT if are seeing this review today DONT MISS THIS SHOW!!!! I can’t stress this enough. Julian’s story telling is great and his songs are some of the absolute funniest I’ve ever heard. Yes. This is including legends like Weird Al, Flight of The Concords, Beau Burnum… If you like comedy, and especially musical comedy, go fill up Julian’s final performance. You’ll regret it if you don’t!

Extremely special and (hopefully not for long) underrated show, a gem of a show. Julian is a multitalented comedian and songwriter who draws you into his world and creates a wonderful intimate experience

He only has 4 shows left! Very funny and a great night. Go go go, and see this show, before it's too late!

Honestly funniest show I’ve seen this year! Totally up my street with his humour and such a nice guy too. I’ve seen lots of comedians over my years at the fringe and no one had made me laugh-cry like this.

Loved this show! Like hanging out with a really funny, really good old mate. Relatable, honest comedy with musical numbers that will stick with me a long time. Literally crying with laughter. Don’t miss it!

Highly recommend this show. Julian gives a really friendly energy when performing. His story telling is outstanding. You will be hurting from laughing and thinking of rotessier chicken!
