Description

'One of the best roasters in Los Angeles' (Jeff Ross). 'Not the son I thought I raised' (his mom). Jay Light is trying to stop faking it. Watch as he digs through his past – the goody-two-shoes Christian childhood in conservative Texas, being the life of the party who turned out to be a raging alcoholic, and the new feelings he has to deal with as he navigates sobriety – to uncover the mean streak that lies beneath the sweet exterior while questioning why everyone else is okay with not being themselves.

Incredibly funny and not afraid to make fun of himself or his upbringing. Clever jokes from a guy with a very dark sense of humor. Also, some great puns.

An enjoyable performance from a genuine comic. Some references are far too US specific for a UK audience, but overall an enjoyable show.
