Description

The world is going to sh*t! Or so it seems. Ophélie Hocquard (BBC New Comedy Award 2017 nominee, Funny Women One to Watch 2018) and Kuan-wen Huang (NATYS finalist 2019, as seen on BBC Three) share why they believe in the simple optimism that everything is going to be OK. Not least because these two have years of experience fighting against the French patriarchy/a Chinese tiger mum.

Really enjoyed this. I had not seen Ophelie before but really liked her style. I have seen and laughed at Kuan-wen's performance but he still made me laugh out loud! Great stuff. Well done both of you.

This comedy show is definitely a ‘must see’ at the Fringe. Ophelia and Kwan are both expats living in London, their performance covers love, relationships and their lives in the UK. Despite the very different cultural contexts of their upbringing and circumstances, there are parallels in their outlook and experience as expats. This show is a steal and you’d be remiss to not watch these two talented up and coming performers.
