Description
One of Scotland's foremost folk singers, Iona Fyfe showcases her passion for Scots language through traditional repertoire, translations and self-penned songs. A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Iona has toured extensively in the UK, Europe, Australia and the USA. A fierce advocate for the official recognition of the Scots Language, Iona led a successful campaign to pressure Spotify into recognising Scots and adding it to its list of languages. The current winner of Scots Singer of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards, Iona presents a solo vocal and piano show. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted.
