Description
Chloe is writing a paper on women's sexuality for her Masters. Nel has responded to the advertisement to be interviewed, and is very open and explicit about her sex life. But nothing here is as it seems, and the conversation will take them to places they never expected. Intimacy is a frank and detailed exploration of female sexuality and pleasure; bold, brutally honest, and completely unapologetic. Chloe is played by Caitlin O'Ryan – Lizzie Wemyss in the international TV hit Outlander (Starz). Nel is played by Imogen Greenwood – writer and producer of award-winning film Natural Causes. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. What an incredible, gripping character drama. This show had me hooked from the start, with 2 characters whose motives and intentions seem to meld and warp as the precisely written script sees fit to share with us new information.
Acted with a subtlety and power that I appreciate even more now having watched the play's conclusion. 10/10, very happy to have seen this on the last day of my fringe.
(I never criticise in reviews, but one thing I hope is helpful: I think the advertising led me to think this show would be more of a lecture/interview. Really sad this show wasn't sold out, so maybe next time more focus on the drama than the exploration of sex in the description would help bring more people in? Maybe just me!)

Well as a male what can I say? In addition to the acting which was both stylish and realistic, I felt as if "I was a fly on the wall. It kept me absorbed as it covered topics giving good insight from a female's perspective. Well worth a viewing. Well done and thanks for a quality acted production.

-10/10 Expert acting, gripping topic and complex characters, come for the great topic and stay for the plot twist. Highly recommend.

Saw the opening show of this play. Wow! Incredible script that is delivered beautifully and with such depth by its two actors.
Great bits of humour splashed over a raw and explicit conversation about sex from a women’s perspective.
Recommend highly!
