Description
Insomniac’s Fable is a delicate love story with a Hitchcockian glint in its eye. It invites its audience into a surreal dreamscape with evocative images and choreography by some of the world’s most original artists. Its premise of 'boy meets dream girl' marries traditional ballet storytelling with contemporary circus – but asks what would happen if this dream girl grabbed hold of the narrative, subverting what was expected? This unique merging of juggling and dance will confound your expectations of what physical theatre can be.Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Absolutely lovely! Beautiful dancing, great juggling, an intriguing storyline, and inventive use of very simple props. Highly recommended.

This was my favourite show of the week. Imaginative and beautifully performed. I really enjoyed the shifting dynamics between the performers. Who'd have thought juggling and dance would work so well together!

There are huge potentials there. There are sparkling moments but the whole work could definitely be better. For instance, as the props and settings are quite simple, it would be better if the audience sit the third row or further. As for people sitting too close, the tricks are nothing mysterious. I kept thinking it will definitely be better in front of the camera because some editing should be done. There are some parts the the mood get disrupted. Should thinking about changing the mood more smoothly. Love the dancers dress always echo the theme and the male actor successfully spreading his passion towards throwing objects. If you bring another show next year, I would love to come back and to see if you get any progress. Ps. It would not be necessary to tell jokes at the end, the mood is beautiful.

What can I say about a mixture of dance and juggling. Utterly brilliant but do not sit at the left side (left middle is OK) since some of the action will be obscured by projected effects on a translucent screen (someone else commented to me on the way out). I just smiled for an hour.
