Come on a journey of discovery across the globe, in search of the essence of flamenco. From the primitive expressive beauty of Indian Kathak dance, through the swirling intensity of middle eastern belly dance, arriving in Europe with the passion and tragedy that is flamenco. Three different musical cultures; three different dance styles; all united by a single thread of continuity over time and continents. A celebration of cultural differences, and also our similarities, as the three powerful female dancers combine in a cultural fusion for the finale. 'Expressive, hypnotic, intense, powerful' ***** (ThreeWeeks).

A wonderful show. The evolution of flamenco is beautifully depicted with superb performances, esp the Indian dance. A memorable production.

A discovery of the Flamenco's roots in Far East (India) and Middle East. Three dancers showing how close and how different are their dance traditions at the same time. Amazing how they use their hands (similarities) and their eyes (differences). Come and travel through west with them!

Alba Flamenca never ceases to amaze with the mesmerising energy and sheer physicality of these incredible accomplished performers. The dancers and the musicians create a wonderful make-believe world.

Such a great opportunity to see three distinct and yet exquisitely linked dance styles.

This is our 5th year of seeing performances at this Fringe venue and it's the one we book before any other show.

A fantastic show! I loved the performance of both the dancers and the live musicians. The tale of the show ties all the pieces together so well. I had a great time and Iā€™d recommend this show to everyone!

The hypnotic dancing is memorable and you will be transported from India to Spain on the genuinely historic journey of gypsy dancing. I cannot recommend this show strongly enough. For several years this has been possibly the best entertainment we have seen each year.

Three women, three styles and three different sensualities – combined with their shared joy for dance – are the main ingredients of this stunning production. Flamenco had its remote origins in India, and Indian, Gipsy and Flamenco dancers are here to prove it in India Flamenco – A Gipsy Tale....
