Description

The Fringe’s longest running improvised comedy group enters into its 30th year at its home, The Bedlam Theatre. The Improverts are returning for yet another year of fast-paced and consistently enjoyable short-form improv comedy and will always do their best to 'put on a damn good show' **** (BroadwayBaby.com) based on audience suggestions. 'A very accomplished evening of comedy, professionally delivered and well worth looking out for in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe later this year' **** (Edinburgh49.org, 2018).

General venue access

  • Accessible entry: If not taking the accessible entrance there are steps on two levels. First there are a couple of steps from the public pavement into the building's enclosure. Second, after a short distance, there are a few more steps that lead into the building, directly into the box office area.   • Wheelchair access type: Permanent Ramp

  • Stairs: 11- 20
    Number of stairs is provided as guidance and is not in addition to any wheelchair access type (lift/ramp etc) stated above.

How and when to make an access booking

Our access tickets service is available to anyone who:

  • Would like to book specific accessibility services, e.g. a hearing loop, audio description headsets, captioning units, seating in relation to the location of the BSL interpreter
  • Requires extra assistance when at a venue
  • Has specific seating requirements
  • Is a wheelchair user
  • Requires a complimentary personal assistant ticket to attend a performance

It seems only fitting that Bedlam Theatre, which was given to the Edinburgh University Theatre Company (EUTC) in 1980, hosts the University of Edinburgh’s improvisation group, The Improverts, every night of the Fringe.
