Description
IMA (Pray) is an immersive circus experience. In the installation space reminiscent of sacred places, we participate in a unique ritual guided by the performer, who becomes a 21st-century shaman taking the audience into the unknown territories of the human mind. Bence Vági, director-choreographer of IMA worked with his team to create a magical installation inspired by the starry sky stretching over the desert; the place where human beings realise that we are merely tiny points in the infinite vastness of the universe. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Immersive Circus yes, but 21st century Shaman?....I wasn't convinced. It's aesthetically amaaazing with the stunning light show and acrobatics. It's a dramtic circus show but not a shamanic experience. I don't like the mis-use of these sacred words that beome trendy. The venue smelled like new synthetic carpet - the opposite of earthiness and sage that I am used to in shamanic spaces. The music was mostly very cliche film-score-esque "dramatic" that felt very cold and industrial. It feels more sci-fi drama than shamanic. Still beautiful to watch once you take all that into account.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve seen this show a few times in Budapest with different performers, but today i choose Zita Horvath, the main female dancer/aerialist in the company. She was fantastic. The whole show, the lightning design, the costume, the place where the crowd sits are very unique. Worth to check the show more than once.

I left hypnotized, thrilled, moved. It was like looking at the sculpture in motion, music reflecting the atmosphere, incredible use of lights. All this came together as a masterpiece. Thank you.

Gorgeous. Ariel ballet, elegant and precise. An amazing display of strength and skill. IMA created a transcendent sacred space.
Worth the trip out to the Ice Rink venue. The remote location gives this show an opportunity to overcome the small room full of chairs to create a truly immersive experience.

Such a lovely change of pace from the rest of the Fringe, peaceful, calm and beautiful. If this was a cult I would join it! Very minimalist but so well done and worth trekking out to Murrayfeild if you can!

It's worth the effort to get to this venue.
Spectacularly beautiful one-person aerial show that is moving. It's elegant and beautiful and mesmerizing.
I am glad to have experienced this.
Clear your mind, let the show take you in.

Less is more and although I initially thought that this piece of minimalist artistic dance movement might be underwhelming it was actually very spiritual and uplifting. Get yourself into the right mind space and get here early as one of the other viewers says. Approach the show with a calm mind and escape into your inner self. Fantastic!!

IMA at the Murrayfield Ice Rink is a a totally unique experience. Definitely arrive 20 minutes before the performance as the beautifully calm area where you can post your thoughts is an important part of the show. I have seen the show 4 times as I found it fascinating what each individual dancer brought to the show. It is exquisitely beautiful. I came out thinking how privileged we are to have the opportunity to experience a theatrical experience of the highest calibre in Edinburgh

Absolutely amazing. The space, music, lights, and the performer work perfectly together. Immersed in lights and music, you witness a mid-air ballet. Very tranquil and contemplative show. It is quite rare to see something so aesthetically pleasing.
