My top fringe recommendation this year!!
The argument between traditional and metric measurements. Sounds weird but the human debate between organic and planned is central to human history.
And Dominic Frisbee is a wonder. It's hilarious. On the very room where Adam Smith finished the Wealth of Nations.

Just been to see this show, didn’t really know what to expect ! How do you make a show about measurements entertaining? But Dominic managed it with aplomb! It was a funny, interesting, informative and thought-provoking show. Highly recommend it.

Great show about how we ever managed before the metric system. Humorously but thoughtfully explained the origin of a lot of the strange words in the old books I had at school in the 70s and how the measurements came about into regular usage-mainly depending on fairly consistent physical qualities of human beings. I'd be very pro-metric but he makes a solid and usually hilarious case for why so many people got along without it for so long. I've seen other shows by him and he's always worth seeing.

Really wondered what this would be like with this title & I am happy to say it exceeded all expectations.
Was so so interesting and along with being that it was really funny as well.
I can’t recommend this highly enough.
Dominic is charming, the venue is charming and the Prosecco very tasty.
10/10 , go see it !
