Description

A howl in the night! A terrifying corpse! A suspicious bearded man! A chaotic cast of larger-than-life characters threaten the heir to the fortune. Can Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson avoid the perilous Grimpen Mire and crack the case? Who is the man roaming the moor late at night? Can the legend of the gigantic hellhound be real? Did they pack enough warm clothes? ETC’s tightly choreographed ensemble must face off against the surreal, the supernatural and the downright silly in this side-splitting, bone-chilling mystery.

I was fortunate enough to catch this show on my first day at the fringe and what a way to begin things. Originally a script written by the group peepolykus for a run in London, a huge round of applause must go to this highly charged and brilliantly choreographed remix! It was great to see a truly ensemble piece. Whilst all the cast were exceptional, particular praise should be poured onto the actor playing Watson who was outstanding. I laughed, I was surprised and I left feeling enthused and ready to soak up more of the same! Great futures lie ahead for this talented troupe and I look forward to seeing them again next year!
