Description

A collaboratively devised storytelling performance deeply rooted in the North Sea and North Welsh landscapes of the performers' homes. Created and performed by two of the UK's leading young storytellers, Ailsa Dixon and Ffion Phillips, this show is an upfront reckoning with climate fragility and the narratives, both old and new, which so easily cast young bodies into the jaws of waiting beasts. But this show is most importantly a celebration of being alive right now; a triangle of stories, people and landscapes – if connection between any of these three is weak we all suffer.

I hadn’t watched any storytelling shows before, so wasn’t quite sure what to expect. But I was enchanted by two intertwined, lively mythological Scottish and Welsh worlds - created by the two talented storytellers. It is probably one of the underrated shows at the Fringe (undeservedly). I really enjoyed the show and recommend everyone to see it

I thought this was a beautiful and lyrical collaboration between two extremely talented young storytellers. I loved how their Scottish and Welsh identities were weaved throughout the show, and was captivated by their intertwined stories.

I’m trying to avoid spoilers but think I can say that their fantastical mythic monster tales are wonderfully gripping, and a clever way to explore the youth response to the climate catastrophe. It’s themes of climate, community and courage make for a truly relevant show that I think everyone should watch this Fringe. I loved it.

Truly excellent! What a creative, moving, captivating performance, weaving in drama, humour, nature, mythical creatures, and lots more from present and past! You will be lost in time! This really is a must see!
