Description
Growler is an 82-year-old, drum-banging shamanic vulva. She's wise as witches, with a tongue like a lash and a heart of gold. She'll take you on an alchemical, theatrical odyssey on her quest to 'heal the past to heal the future'. Through storytelling, spoken word, song and comedy, no stone is left unturned and no one is left behind. Confronting and adorable, blazing the streets with her message to 'love the eejit out of ourselves', Growler is an inferno at which we can remember our common humanity and warm the cockles of our collective heart. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. This is real magic that fits in at the fringe so perfectly. A shuffling shamanic vulva of overflowing wisdom and tenderness speaks to you as a mother and guide, weaving a spell of protection and strength. This is somewhere between sacred feminine poetry and a cuppa at your nan’s house. I laughed, I cried, I loved it!

Growler weaves storytelling and ritual into an hour of theatre that feels both ancient and topical. I am still thinking about it, a week later. If my own show didn't conflict with the times, we'd be back for more!

A unique storytelling experience! My wife and I truly enjoyed taking the witch’s journey!
Nonsense waste of time 47 days ago
It felt like most people in the audience knew this but were simply playing along thinking that they were the ones that were missing it.
The theater configuration makes it hard to walk out.
It was terribleness.
Skip it.

A magical show. Which calls out for a large and wide audience. Those who go know they are seeing something special. If you are hesitating - just go. Beautifully crafted. The score and music weave in impressively. Come ye and be healed.
