Description
After years of torment from an evil spirit, the goodly Reverend Mister Jennings can take it no longer and takes the decision to confide in philosophic physician, Dr Martin Hesselius. Through their conversations, Jennings reveals the devious nature of his captor and how he has come to be its unwilling slave. Delving into the depths of his craft, Doctor Hesselius works tirelessly to exorcise the spirit that has fastened upon the Reverend, before it’s too late. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Luke is a talent that needs to be seen. The intimate venue was the perfect setting that both drew me into the mesmerizing performance and added to the gothic themes of the piece. Luke's ability to embody multiple characters, switching from one to another in the blink of an eye, showcases his ability and is the perfect method for telling this tale of a tortured mind.

WOW - Luke’s character and accent work was astounding! I also love a good creepy story. I might have a phobia of demon monkeys now, but regardless, this play comes highly recommended! Go see it!

Captivating acting, beautiful set and one of the most interesting stories I’ve heard during this year’s festival. The accent work was exceptional, highly recommended!
