Description

A deliciously Dahl-esque treat from madcap duo Fladam (Flo Poskitt and Adam Sowter), about a boy born with gunky, green fingers! Is he really rotten, or just misunderstood? Maybe the answers lie in the mysterious school garden… Featuring live music, puppetry and plenty of humour. A blooming marvellous musical for all the family! Fladam are 'the most amazing hilarious musical comedy duo' (Harry Whittaker, BBC Radio). Credits include Love Bites at York Theatre Royal – ***** (Stage), 'Joyous' (Guardian) – Channel 4's The Piano and Musical Comedy Hootenanny – **** (Mervyn Stutter's Pick of the Fringe).

What an excellent children’s show. A wonderful story, great music and lovely take home message. My 5 year old absolutely loved the story and was singing the songs from the show for the rest of the day. Fladam are a very talented pair - a show of this calibre could do well on a big stage. I’d highly recommend- 5 stars from us.

I really enjoyed going to see this with my 4 and 6 year old children. They were captivated throughout. Flo and Adam were star performers, changing characters and demeanours with ease. Great messaging about personal acceptance, being different, and embracing mess!

Fladam's musical comedy hootenanny was one of the highlights of last year's Fringe so I had to check out their new family musical. This was great fun, with zany characters, catchy songs, and a lovely, warmhearted message about acceptance. All the ingredients for a great family show are there but what really makes Green Fingers such an enchanting watch is Flo and Adam themselves. They're such engaging, likeable and talented performers, it's a joy to see them on stage. This is another gem of a show from Fladam, highly recommended for children and anyone young at heart.

This was absolutely fantastic and by far the best kids show we saw at the fringe. We took two 4 year old and they stayed engaged the whole time. Highly recommend

Our first Fringe show this year and what a lovely and warm start or gave us despite the torrential rain! Flo and Adam are both wonderful at playing the various characters in this show. Our grandkids both loved the show and I would also recommend it to anyone, of any age. Full of great songs, funny jokes and a positive message. Give it a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

This was a very funny show about a little person starting school, but his magic green hands upset the scary headteacher! Our 5 and 6 year olds were totally absorbed for the whole 50 mins. Clever catchy songs, funny characters, lots of jokes and fun. Perfect for infants, parents and grannies!

Always a pleasure seeing these two perform. They bring something fresh and inventive every time they take to the stage and this year’s no different. A lovely tender tale reminiscent of classic Dahl and a mix of Tim Minchin like musical. Highly recommended for anyone who loves the quirky and offbeat!

I watched this show with my four and a half year old daughter. She watched it very closely. But she was a little afraid of the sound effects when the magic happened. For myself, I really enjoyed the show. The actors were very expressive. I loved their facial expressions. The small theatre allowed the audience to see these expressions clearly. Highly recommended.

I took my 2 grandchildren today. Both of them mesmerized by the puppet. Sat still throughout and can’t stop pretending to have magic hands. I adored the music and jokes and thought Flo and Adam to be very clever and talented performers. A show for adults too! I hope they come again next year.
