Description

Grease – the original high school musical that has never dated, with its toe-tapping high-energy mix of raw teenage emotional power, stunning vocals, exceptional dance routines and vibrant raunchy script. It's so irrepressibly un-PC that audiences flock to see it again and again. Featuring all the hit songs: Summer Nights, Greased Lightning, We Go Together, Mooning, Born to Hand Jive, Beauty School Dropout, Look at Me I'm Sandra Dee, There Are Worse Things I Could Do, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Rock'n'Roll Party Queen and You're the One That I Want. Unforgettable! Grease is the word!

UK Family At The Fringe 38 days ago

Very true to the original format of grease - school style production by a young cast over from New Zealand. (No set or props.) Lots of enthusiasm and some star singers in the cast. Others are improvers. Enjoyed the show overall.

A fun show with some great performances from the talented young cast. The songs are catchy and you can't help but have a good time.

This show was amazing-such energy from a really committed bunch of young performers! Credit to this group for travelling so far to share their talent with us at the Fringe. Go see it!

Great to see a young energetic company dancing, singing and acting their hearts out. The youthful exuberance was infectious and our party, who ranged in age from 9-81, had a great time. Good to hear the old favourite songs, too. There were some real stars of the future in the company, who brought great humour and even poignancy to the show.

Edinburgh Reporter (3/5 stars) 38 days ago

"This is an entertaining production of an ever-popular musical, performed by a young and talented company. It will go down a storm with families looking for some all-age entertainment (minimum recommended age 8), and with people like me who still wish they’d been in America for all those Summer Nights."

Nelson Youth Theatre Company puts on a lively rendition of a well-loved classic. Ever irreverent, it is great to see actual high school students bringing youth to Grease‘s bright array of characters, giving the show the boost of cheeky childishness that other productions lack.
