Description

An actor-musician piece inspired by Frank Turner’s song and the story of the Winchester Geese / Crossbones Graveyard in Southwark, London. Prepare yourself for a journey between worlds as we experience a Christmas like no other. A merging of medieval, modern, and everything in between. Observe an intimate evening within the graveyard/pub filled with stories, riddles, and live music. The Lover searches for his lost love. The Geese search for a choice. The Tender connects their worlds together. Grab a drink and join us for a "love story" that transcends both life and death.

Loved this show! Well acted. Has an important story to tell, which is also well balanced with humour and has the added bonus of some great live music.

FIVE STARS!! Terrific production, loved the costumes especially but great all round. It was sold out and deserved to be. Hope Frank Turner gets a chance to see it one day. The story is based the true story upon which one of his songs is based. Highly highly recommended!

It's not the first play I see written by Kira and she, the whole cast Reverb and director Matthew did not disappoint. The play has many underlayers and is amazingly thought and performed. You can come and see it a few times and you will always get a different detail from it. Through characters that are all very unique it's a play you can relate to thanks to the touching history of it and stories told in it. Let's not forget about the music that is a full part of this play. The baroque of Graveyard Of The Outcast Dead is one you want to experience.

Having performed many actor musician shows myself, I was thoroughly looking forward to this ensemble piece. It was superb! Full standing ovation, thoroughly deserved for a very talented, engaging cast and their creative team. Shout out to the technical team / venue staff too. A great setting for wonderful, theatrical piece. Get yourself down, you won't be disappointed. Colin

Graveyard of the Outcast Dead (***)
In Shakespearian times, three dead prostitutes, and a lover tell their tales. Despite the cast speaking loud enough, my poor hearing made it so I missed significant parts of each story. Others said they really enjoyed it.

This is the 31st most enjoyable of the 36 shows I have seen so far at the Fringe this year. I hope to see almost 200. You may see my other three-sentence reviews, in order from most enjoyable to worst, at my non-commercial website: https://fringefan.com/

Graveyard of the Outcast Dead is a funny, moving and occasionally challenging exploration of life, death, love and loss.
