I thought they were decent. Great use of sound effects in the sketches. Would watch again.

I thought this show was fantastic. Hilariously inventive and the transitions between sketches were as clever and interesting as the sketches themselves. Both performers are really at the top of their game and it was a delight to watch them.

An absolute stonker of a show - subverts all expectations in a hysterical and ingenious manner, with twists you’ll never see coming. These two extremely talented actors play with form unlike anything you have ever seen before or ever will again. A standing ovation well deserved!

An absolutely amazing show to finish our fringe weekend, original, funny, fast, slick and did I mention funny? Well impressed and good fun, go and check them out, your not regret it.

Once again Goodbear have knocked the ball right out of the park. Theirs is a gentle but quirky style of brilliantly nuanced characters and subverted endings, flowing seamlessly between sketches. Really, Goodbear are fringe gold ☆☆☆☆☆

ThreeWeeks (5/5 stars) 80 days ago

Goodbear deliver on the promise of their previous Fringe shows (eg, ‘The Pin: Backstage’) with a performance of immense flair and skill. The sketch duo’s shtick is again that the real performers are delayed (both are dressed in Pleasance T-Shirts, adding to the pretence). They’ve added even greater physicality and...

Goodbear make the most out of their tech, Dougal, to bring some fun audio-visual elements to a series of parodical sketches. It’s impressively used early on as they deliver back-to-back cinematically inspired sketches that are heavy on audio cues. Joe Barnes and Henry Perryment have a boyish charm to their style and...

One of my favourites this year, Joe Barnes and Henry Perryment have created an outstanding sketch show that slinks along, morphing from one thing to another so seamlessly that it even seems to start by accident.  ...

The audience has assembled, but sketch duo Goodbear haven’t shown up. So what’s a duty manager to do? Kill time, of course – which front-of-house boss Joe and underling Henry proceed to do, with the help of technician Dougal, supplying gun sound effects. One thing leads to another and Joe...

Broadway Baby (4/5 stars) 94 days ago

Goodbear put on a pretty spectacular routine considering they never actually show up.Instead, we are entertained by some ‘venue staff’ with remarkable comedic skill and acting chops. Henry Perryment and Joe Barnes run through an almost limitless series of sketches, jumping from one to the other with the flick of...

The Wee Review (5/5 stars) 100 days ago

Comedy duo Goodbear, aka Joe Barnes and Henry Perryment, return to the Fringe with their new show Dougal.  However, all is not what it seems when two Pleasance staff members, Joe and Henry, apologise for the lateness of our main act in coming onstage and attempt to entertain the audience...
