Description

Winner of Underbelly, New Diorama and Methuen Drama’s hit-making Untapped Award 2022. A dying man’s last wish: for his friends to create a show about death. Will it be subtle? Will it be sophisticated? Probably not, but it’s his funeral. Literally. Multi award-winning physical comedy company Ugly Bucket process the death of a friend in the only way they know how – through a kinetic maelstrom of outrageous clowning, personal testimony and a thumping techno soundtrack. Ugly Bucket are thrilled to present this hilarious gut-punch of a show.

Really wonderful show. I was moved between tears, joy and gratitude by this thoughtful exploration of grief and loss; a subject not discussed enough. I would recommend this show to anyone. It has really left an impression

A masterclass in clowning. Inventive and slick. One of my favorite theatre companies in the world.

We enjoyed the show with my 13 years old grand daughter. I picked it for her, she can understand very little English, but she's practicing theater and was fascinated.

Wasn't sure about the concept of this show, but a friend persuaded me to come along and I'm so glad I did. Laughed and cried. Made me hopeful. As long as we have laughter we can deal with anything I think.

Perhaps this show is suitable for 20something, being a bit older I found the material and performance a tad childish and far too amature. ***

The venue is worth to visit, such a fascinating historical building.
