Description

Winner of the Producers' Encore Award at the 2023 Hollywood Fringe Festival, Good and Gaslit tackles the knotty issue of gaslighting in a show that's entertaining and enlightening. Following its sold-out premiere in Los Angeles, this all-female production uses intelligence, humor and wit to tell a modern story of self-discovery, shedding light on the various dimensions of gaslighting in many a woman's everyday life. The protagonist's hilarious real-life anecdotes overlap with an unexpected, on-stage relationship with the show's director. It's a show within a show, inspired by a true life. It's as powerful as it is unique.

Great balance of both comedy and examination of the challenges faced by women in the film and TV industry. Deb and Kendal (mother and daughter combo) entertain the audience with great dialogue between their characters. The intimacy of the theatre adds to the connection the audience gets with the performance. Highly recommend and would see again

What an exceptional show! This award winner from the Hollywood Fringe was at the top of my list of 'must sees' and it exceeded highest expectations. Both Deb and Kendall are fantastic with terrific chemistry and talent.

Clever, intelligent, hilarious and relatable, the show made me consider the concept of 'gaslighting' in a new way. I've been thinking of it in the political context since Brexit, but hadn't realised how it can creep into our personal and professional lives in ways subtle and significant. I highly recommend Good and Gaslit!

I stumbled on Good and Gaslit as a last minute search for something to see this afternoon. Not only is it exceptionally clever and well written, but it’s superbly performed - especially impressive seeing neither of the two performers are actors (one is a tv executive who wrote the show, the other her daughter who is a director). Great £10 spent and I’d see it again.

Cincotta’s stance emerges from a feminist angle and is something of a call to arms to women, but her message is relevant to all genders.
