Description

‘In London I was a gefilte fish out of water, in Hampshire I was Moses, wandering. I’ve silently suffered thinking because I was from New York City I was a different kind of Jew. Now I know it’s only because I’m Jewish. It’s my ethnicity as much as my religion and I cannot hide it.’ Stacey looks to her heritage to cope and heal with food and humour. A comedic exploration of the prejudices described by David Baddiel in his book Jews Don’t Count, and how recipes brought family tradition and histories alive.
