Description

After suffering another excruciating, yet hilarious, revelation about his weird little behaviours and ticks, Gareth has decided to come clean and share his innermost embarrassing stories in his brand-new show. Scotland's widely tipped next breakthrough comedy star has sold out both his previous Edinburgh Fringe seasons, toured with Katherine Ryan and Daniel Sloss and recently made his New York solo debut off-Broadway. 'This is proper stand-up... excellent!' (BroadwayBaby.com). 'Smart, witty... very funny!' (Scotsman). 'Endearing... plenty of laughs' (TheWeeReview.com). 'Uplifting hour... effortless, hugely personable comedy' (List). 'Loads and load of laughs' **** (One4Review.co.uk). @GarethWaugh

Brilliant! 3rd year running and still excellent. Im an avid Fringe goer for past 12 years and very happy to recommend this comedian as a ‘must see’.

One of the more likeable comedians on the circuit, local boy Gareth Waugh is holding the audience squarely in the palm of his hand at Underbelly. His easy going charm, his irresistible honesty and his instant rapport make for a relaxing and very, very funny hour in his company. He’s approaching his 30th birthday and taking stock of his life before the big milestone lands on top of him. He’s also living alone for the first time - and this gives him another deep, rich seam of comedy potential, which he exploits to the max. It’s a joy to watch him jumping from one comic thread to another, to another, and then weaving them back together like a shop-bought thing. That’s a skill many more established comedians would kill for. Snap up a ticket if you can find one.

Gareth, I’ve seen you perform and grow over the years, The Stand, Rose Street comedy Club etc and this was part of the reason I booked. Your a talented guy, great timing and some great material..BIG BUT..your act is sadly homophobic and hurtful to some. Indeed 1 person walked out during the show, admittedly possibly for other reasons. I am not gay, but I’ve followed comedy for 40years and as one of the greats said, it’s not funny if it’s offended someone.

You have no idea whose in the audience, their personal circumstances or persuasion.

Imho, you’ll go further and appeal to more if you keep it wider.

Sincerely wishing you further success in the future

Nice to see some home grown talent. Laughed throughout and can recommend.

Great Scottish comedian who kept the audience laughing for the hour. A big chunk of the show includes chat about needles and blood, so if you're a bit squeamish, be aware. Still 10/10 show - happy to recommend to my friends!

Local lad Gareth Waugh is following on from his last two critically acclaimed shows with the 2019 offering, and once again moving to a bigger room, yet still selling it out. That says plenty about the guy and his popularity. … Read More ...
