Description

'Go for the cat-worship, stay for the side-splitting silliness, and rave about it to all your friends... Catts is like nothing you've ever seen before' ***** (ToDoList.London). Everybody wants to be a cat, because a cat is just a cat... From 'acclaimed clown' (ToDoList.London) and emerging idiot Frankie Thompson, an anarchic one-woman adaptation of Cats (the musical). But not about cats, not about musicals, not about Cats the musical. Catts is a lip-sync ballet through the distractions and obsessions that help us cope with an increasingly dystopian reality. Because after all, wouldn't we rather think about cats?

Utterly brilliant. Beneath all the silliness and physical humour, lies a very empowering narrative. And those facial expressions are just amazing.

Looking for a show with laughs, entertainment, variety, fantastic characterisations and some provocation of thought then this one is for you.
We booked this show fairly randomly but I have to admit I’m glad we booked it! We were slightly worried that not being “cat” people some of the humour would be lost on us but it was not to be. Hilarious throughout and a great performance, highly recommended!

So good, no but really so so
So
So so good. More energy than you ever thought could be contained in one human. Loved every link, jump, roll, stretch and non sequitur sequitur.

Energetic and endearing clown, like watching “Everything Is Terrible” with a live action treadmilling host.
A must see for anyone hoping to turn reality on its head for an hour. Oh, and there’s cats, if you like that sort of thing. 5*

Defies explanation - a quintessential Fringe gem. Bizarre, hilarious and a truly unpredictable pleasure to watch. Make sure you’re in the front row for maximum immersion!

All this precision and verve is executed while delivering the complex script to split-second perfection.

This show is all over the place – in a good way. Cat puns, people and pee; cat shows, singing and spreadsheets, it’s all there, held together with sticky video-tape.

Leaving no cat-related reference unlicked, Thompson’s show is artfully clownish and funny.
