Description

Fimbo Butures (Maya Williams and Lizzy Tan) bring For you: wicked to the Fringe after a world premiere at VAULT Festival 2023. This dance-camming-performance-art piece asks what it means to be Not Safe For Work – is anyone safe from work under capitalism? Drawing from experiences in camming, life modelling, stripping and formal dance training, For you: wicked is a reflection on how sexualised and racialised femme bodies move through capitalism, surveillance and oppression. In a manic game of dress up, Fimbo Butures conjure a realm somewhere between online/offline, girl on girl, sight and site.

General venue access

  • Wheelchair Accessible Toilets
  • Accessible entry: Lift access through the glass box into the main studio area. If not taking the lift there are 12 steps down into the performance space. There is level access via Windmill Lane off of Buccleuch Place.

    • Wheelchair access type: Building Lift

  • Stairs: 11- 20
    Number of stairs is provided as guidance and is not in addition to any wheelchair access type (lift/ramp etc) stated above.

How and when to make an access booking

Our access tickets service is available to anyone who:

  • Would like to book specific accessibility services, e.g. a hearing loop, audio description headsets, captioning units, seating in relation to the location of the BSL interpreter
  • Requires extra assistance when at a venue
  • Has specific seating requirements
  • Is a wheelchair user
  • Requires a complimentary personal assistant ticket to attend a performance
