Description

John McLaughlin (hit singer/songwriter/producer of Johnny Mac & The Faithful) performs songs of his friend and genius Shane MacGowan (The Pogues and The Popes). Johnny and his band blast through the classic songs of the great man whilst McLaughlin shares fond memories of their times writing and recording together and of course going to the pub! This homage is a celebration of the life and works of one of the greatest artists of all time and is endorsed by Shane’s wife, Victoria Clarke. So, let’s all raise a glass to Shane MacGowan!

Shane MacGowan was a musical genius. Never given enough respect for his songwriting and creative abillity. Johnny Mac put together a band of brilliant musicians and took us on a wee journey through his experiences with Shane. It was heartfelt, it was funny, it was sad but above all it was Shane.
The audience lapped up the wonderful music as they sang, danced and smiled as the hits were played very much Pogue esq with the absolute right blend of music and vocals to make you think the man himself was in the room.
This show is going on tour and rightly so, we need longer to fully immerse ourselves For the love of Shane MacGowan

Brilliant show! Back Sunday for the closer. If I could make just one request it would be to find a bit of time to play A Pair of Brown Eyes!

Absolutely brilliant! The most enthusiastic audience I've been part of this year. I just wanted it go on for longer.
