‘I think it's high time women let themselves just be women for a change.’ Ball’s comedy is set in the early 90s in Knoxville, Tennessee during an ostentatious wedding reception for the despised Tracy Marlowe. Five reluctant bridesmaids meet whilst hiding from the wedding in the bride’s bedroom. As they share stories of love, tragedy and laughter, they unwittingly uncover a secret and ultimately find unexpected friendship.
