Description

For those who want more from their comedy than one guy standing still on a stage with a microphone. Confront the mystery of our lives, deaths and afterlives in a show full of interactive bits, vulnerable personal stories and surreal comedy rituals. This cross-genre comedy show blurs the lines between stand-up, theatre, improv, sketch and performance art. Unequal parts silly, smart and sacred. 'I'd watch Maher do just about anything' (Chicago Reader). 'Smartly unhinged, wildly funny comedian with a big heart and warm smile' (GapersBlock.com).

What’s more, you will actually like the guy personally - he has a warm and engaging personality. I came to this show via another stint he did at an alternative comedy venue, where the audience weren’t allowed to laugh at him; it was impossible not to.
So, erm, trust me, just go! You won’t regret it.

The Wee Review (4/5 stars) 111 days ago

Dave Maher is no stranger to death – although he’s standing right in front of us, on the tiny Just The Spare Room stage, there was a time in his life where things could’ve gone very differently. In 2014, after years of self-described alcohol abuse, Maher fell into a month-long...
