Description
Critically acclaimed storyteller Niall Moorjani (Mohan: A Partition Story) reimagines the folk classic Thomas the Rhymer in an evening of strangeness, sexy fairies and swearing. A new and original piece of storytelling exploring queerness, Scottish race and gender identities through a medieval-inspired landscape. Set to live cello music from Diana Redgrave, this is storytelling at its experimental best. Originally commissioned for the Scottish International Storytelling Festival 2022. This was a beautiful examination of gender and sexuality wonderfully performed with a fantastic accent and with a folksy novelty that envelopes you. The choice of accompaniment delivers a charming show that everyone should go and see.

A wonderful show! It explores the liminal nature of fae, LGBTQ+ people, and inter-racial folks. By turns funny, heart wrenching, and hopeful. The show is highly interactive so do not be afraid to cheer, respond to the performer, and wear your hearts on your sleeves.
As an LGBTQ+ person myself, I've always been fascinated with the fae and Niall Moorjani hit every theme that has preoccupied me from childhood. They did their research and it shows.
Diana Redgrave's constant musical accompaniment makes the bare stage seem full and sets the tone of each scene change perfectly.
Highly reccomend.
