Description

World premiere of Pie Jesu – written by Robert Fripp (King Crimson) and Andrew Keeling, arranged especially for Excelsa Voces. Described as 'ethereal' (Gloucester Echo) and utterly superb, Excelsa Voces performances are an immersive experience seamlessly blending medieval and contemporary music. The quintet of singers, led by soprano Paula Evans, are joined by Tom McMahon (cello) and Chris Long (keyboards) for a programme that ranges from 12th-century chant to contemporary works by Gavin Bryars and others. 'An evening of extraordinary beauty... ethereal... haunting... I urge you not to miss it' (Gloucester Echo).
