Description

A portrayal of the life of Eva Cassidy. Inspired by her favorite artist, award-winning musician Elsa Jean McTaggart returns with a brand-new show for 2019 – Eva Cassidy: The Story, after selling out many times in 2017/18. Using video, story and song, Elsa Jean McTaggart channels Eva Cassidy's musical voice through her own. Elsa has devised this very special show to pay homage to this true interpreter of song. 'One of these very few people with a distinctive enough voice to do the music and songs of Eva Cassidy justice' (Tom King, SouthsideAdvertiser.biz).

Eva Cassidy The Story, presented and performed by Elsa Jean McTaggart at theSpace @ Symposium Hall has become, over the last few years, one of the Fringe success stories. There are probably several reasons for this – the enduring public love affair with Eva Cassidy and the often iconic songs that she added her own unique interpretation to are undoubtedly a big part of this show being a hit with the public, but that extra piece of magic that every good show needs is the equally unique voice and interpretation of these songs by Elsa Jean McTaggart.
