Description

Eva Bindeman has made it to every comedy semi-final there is and absolutely no further. Failing at being middle class, middle child and middle life, Eva has one last attempt to become a winner – putting on her own show with only one contestant: Herself. Can she make it to the final? A show, averagely written and performed with the air of someone who has nothing to lose (...or win) – Semi Killer celebrates the frustrating joy of taking part. Expect 3 stars, ample seating and a feeling of this show being just fine.

Reply enjoyed her show! We came as a big group and all had an absolutely fantastic time! The audience interaction is an absolute killer and thanks for the medals! A fantastic show worth seeing!

Absolutely brilliant show. Wasn't sure at first, not really one for a self effacing gimmick, but she used it perfectly to tell an absolutely brilliant narrative. Just enough crowd interaction with witty call backs which kept everyone on the edge of their seat. Not for the faint of heart but definitely for those that love a belly laugh.

So so funny and fun! A wild ride of anecdotes and banter, Eva is so worth seeing and I would definitely catch her again.

LOVE! What a fantastic show!
Chaotic, hilarious and relatable. Eva or M (thou shall not mention that M word) captured the audience fantastically. Me and my partner owe Eva for a last fantastic day of our fringe. Definitely up there in our top 5!

Eva’s show was fantastic. She really makes you feel at ease and is so relatable. I’ve seen her perform a few times now and she’s as funny as ever! She was able to include the audience with a hilarious warmth, and the callbacks were great! We smiled and laughed the whole time we were there. Up Big Margaret!

One hour fringe comedy debuts are hard. But sometimes performers worry so much about the craft and the structure that they forget to have fun themselves. I am glad to report this is not the case with Eva, who shared that hour with her audience today and made the attic at the Mash House a very happy place.

Sure, things may have gone a little off-piste but if off-piste means an hour of hilarity, honesty, warmth and affable audience interaction, I'll take that any time over the script as written. Even if said audience interaction started with my wife and I being asked if we were siblings...

FABULOUS SHOW! So so funny and can’t wait to see her get bigger and bigger! Thank you for making me laugh so so so so much! Best comedy show of the fringe for me.

Eva’s show is ridiculously HILARIOUS, I nearly fell off my seat laughing multiple times. She is one to watch, seriously though! So go catch her last Fringe 2023 show so you can brag about how you saw her at the Fringe before she starts selling out the Apollo!

We got flyered by Eva a while before the show where she described it as very average and then she burst out laughing. So we took a chance, And it was way better than average! Eva was engaging, funny and entertaining. She tells a good story, with lots of laughs and some great call backs to her chats with the audience. A great hour of standup that flew by, I was surprised it was over! Loved it!

Brilliant! In temperatures more reminiscent of the rain forest and at the napping hour, Eva swept such obstacles aside and we felt thoroughly entertained throughout the hour. Every audience member in the packed attic room was swept along by Evas storylines, relishing the one liners and the brilliant way she can draw audience members along to play their part in her cunning plans! I saw her last year and thought she was fab, making Semi killer a must to see this year. Thanks Eva Bindeman, you are one helluva funny woman!

Eva is someone who I've heard about on the circuit for a while but never had the chance to see, and I'm glad I had the opportunity. A great story with good audience interaction.

Eva’s performance is wonderfully warm, welcoming and utterly hilarious. You’re endeared to her from the start and after a full hour of laughs together it’s like a big old comedy hug. Her show is smart, funny, and quite a bit cheeky and I loved the whole thing. Can’t wait to see more from Eva in the future!

Eva's long been on my radar as she's local to me in Bristol, so I've been lucky enough to see her already on the Bristol comedy scene, but never in Edinburgh. Her show is all about being second place/runner-up (as someone who's also come runner-up in lots of things, I could totally relate to this), dating woes, being northern, and loads more. She has a great bit about her mum, who sounds like a total legend - big up Big Margaret!
I also felt this was stronger than many other debut Fringe shows I've seen over the years. Eva deserves to get all the awards.

One of the best pieces of luck we had at Edinburgh Fringe was getting a flyer for Eva's show. An absolutely delightful hour spent with a witty, warm, honest and clever comedian. Eva is a gem that will be forever part of our 2023 Festival experience.

I loved this show. Engaging, funny and thoughtfully put together, it’s silliness that makes you think. Eva is such a warm, capable performer that at the end of the show I had to stop myself from asking her to be my best friend.

Great show, had me laughing, smiling and enjoying the time with the semi-killer. If you like hilarious stories and audience engagement this show is for you. Eva is an act that will be famous sometime soon, so get in quick!

Really enjoyed the show, laughed all the way through - bargain at £6. Looking forward to seeing more in future, definitely recommend going and Im keeping on radar.

Eva's show was so much fun. She's a warm and thoroughly engaging presence with a great story to tell about her history of reaching the semi finals of comedy competitions (which, it should be added, is not something you ever manage if you don't have great comedic chops to begin with). There's an absolute killer anecdote about a certain TV show which I will not spoil for you, and a great running gag/theme that hits a hilarious pay-off at the end. And above all she's clearly just a lovely person who you will be rooting for by the time you leave. Highly recommended!

Eva is funny, warm, friendly, funny (yes I know I have said that, but she is) and just a delight. This is one of my favourite shows I have seen at the Fringe.

You should all go and see her now before she becomes the star she is destined to be.

A winner for me.

Eva is sooooo funny, I LOVED her show ♥️ I'm a huge fan and have seen some of her other shows, but this is her best so far, and this was definitely the best thing I saw at the fringe this year. I'm expecting big things from her in the future!

Absolutely loved this show! Highly recommended!
Eva is a brilliant performer, far too good for such a small venue - although it did add to the intimate atmosphere. Go and see Eva if you can!

One of my top three at this year's fringe. An hour of genuinely laugh out loud funny, authentic feeling comedy. Actually feel guilty for watching something this professionally done for such a low price.

Annabel M 57 days ago

Fabulous show, she may be a semi finalist everywhere else but this show is an absolute winner in my books. Eva is so effortless combining great jokes and story telling with casual audience interactions, it was so impressive. I highly recommend it!

Neil Gough 57 days ago

Thoroughly enjoyable hour laughing in Eva’s company. Great stories and jokes plus using the audience’s own experiences to make the show unique every day. Go see it if you can.
