Description

Is female ejaculation the last taboo? A documentary performance about sexuality and desires based on interviews with women from various backgrounds and countries. Through a personal journey, the performance creates safe space for self-discovery and explores the collective experience of female sexuality. The word 'ejaculation' reflects two different meanings. There is its contemporary connection with sexual climax, but there is also its original association: a sudden verbal exclamation, an emotional outburst of words, the desire to be heard. Ejaculation combines both meanings in an honest dialogue about the most crucial questions of female sexuality.

Female Ejaculation – Discussions about Female Sexuality. Yes, it was a big night of sex on the stage. This is a Finnish documentary performance about sexuality and desires based on interviews with women. Performers Essi Rossi and Sarah Kivi provide us with a lot of information and possible overshare but hey, their pedagogical intentions are sound. Theatre as group therapy session … mmm … for the price of a theatre ticket here at Edinburgh Fringe they may get return guests. I don’t like to talk about it so two cheese crumbs from me. Part of a Finnish Performing Arts Showcase 2019

It takes a woman around 15 minutes to reach full arousal, say the scientists who’ve measured this stuff (god knows how). Essi Rossi’s performance about female sexuality doesn’t give the audience much time to warm up; instead, it gets straight in there like the blunt jabbing fingers of a teenage...

In 2014, female ejaculation was banned in UK pornography. Why is ‘squirting’ still such a taboo?
