Description

Award-winning comedian Edy Hurst brings his musical comedy, loop pedal nonsense and stand-up to answer the age-old question: ‘What’s the deal with Edy Hurst? Who even is he? Where am I? What?’ As seen on MTV, BBC Radio 4, BBC New Act Nominee 2017, Great Yorkshire Fringe People’s Champion 2017, Harrogate Comedian of the Year finalist 2018, nominated for the Musical Comedy Awards 2018 and lurking in your dreams, ya weirdo. ‘A manic (odd)ball of comedy energy’ (Gigglebeats.co.uk). ‘Filled to the brim with ideas’ (BroadwayBaby.com).

We spent a really enjoyable hour watching Edy Hurst earlier today. A perfect balance between witty and intelligent songs and a story telling style bordering on the surreal. One of my favourite shows at the fringe and a great way to start the day.

Edy has been a Fringe favourite of mine for many years, his style of light-hearted imagination combined with surreal observation makes for 50 minutes of comedy that verges on absurd but never leaves the realm of the familiar. After Edy's introduction you'll feel right at home with "Hurst Schmurst", as he jumps between personal anecdotes, irrelevant gags, and musical jokes which can only be described as verbal slapstick.

The Wee Review (3/5 stars) 26 days ago

It’s a sharply written idea, which offers plenty of big laughs, particularly in...
