Description
if you're a fan of Radio 4's 'the unbelievable truth' you'll love this. Incredible historical insight and fascinating "facts" from a show previously described by audience members as: 'an absolute highlight of our Fringe', 'inspired' and 'hilarious, unique and totally informative – but not in the right way' After two sell-out runs in 2021 and 2022, local town planner Angus is back again to guide history fans on the classic factually inaccurate historical walking tour that truly defines this most niche of genres! Prepare to learn what you never knew you never knew about Scotland's historic capital city...Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Hilarious fun with a laid back and amusing guide. Terrific way to start a day at the Fringe.

Having lived here most of my adult life, I now realise that most of what I thought I knew about Edinburgh is depressingly accurate. Thankfully Angus was able to put me wrong on a lot of it.
Surely the best (certainly the least accurate) walking tour in town.

Angus has a great eye for ideas to tell funny and informative tales of old Edinburgh. I would recommend it to you.

Brilliantly deadpan combination of absurdity and real sounding facts.

We had a highly entertaining morning being guided around the Royal Mile listening to a series of increasingly implausible and hilarious stories about days gone by. Highly recommend!

Very amusing and well put together. Never been to a comedy walking tour before and this did not disappoint. Imaginative story telling excellently executed & would recommend!

Loved it! Highly recommend! If you’re looking for light hearted, imaginative tales of Edinburgh’s history this is the tour for you! Angus is a great storyteller, we found it very amusing!

This tour is a hoot. Definitely join this if you want some hilarious stories and highly unlikely to be true fun facts. Angus is a great story teller. We had already joined this tour with Angus last year but joined again as it was so enjoyable and it had us in stitches again. Highly recommended!

Good fun walk around a few streets of central Edinburgh. Angus is very personable and includes the audience his gentle patter. A nice way to ease you into a day at the fringe!
