Description

The National Youth Choir of Scotland embarks on a four-concert tour across the country this summer, bringing their mighty performance to three cathedrals and an abbey. Maurice Duruflé’s superlative requiem is one of the glories of the choral repertoire and one of his few completed works surviving for posterity. Dedicated to the memory of the composer’s father, this profoundly beautiful, emotionally shattering and wonderfully atmospheric piece never fails to make an impact – especially when conducted by Artistic Director Christopher Bell. Performers: National Youth Choir of Scotland. Christopher Bell (Conductor). Michael Bawtree (Organist).
