Description

Private Eye's MD and best-selling author of Dr Hammond's Covid Casebook dissects the pandemic. The more certain someone is about Covid, the less you should trust them. Do we know what went right and wrong? Could we have prevented it? Why are experts so polarised? Can you trust a leader who petrifies the people while partying? Should we have copied Sweden? Or Taiwan? Have vaccines saved us? Will we be kinder to animals and children? Are pandemics here to stay? Can we disagree without hate? Warning. May contain traces of doubt, compassion, humour, nuance and batshit.

Ok. I’m biased. I’ve seen Dr Phil before and I KNEW he’d be good…

This show was even better than expected though. Lots and lots of laughs, a bit of audience singing, and a healthy scepticism about modern life in Covid times.

If you’d like to poke some gentle fun at life, politics and the world in general, come and see this show.

Be warned though… you’ll be left wanting more and come back for the second show an hour later, which is fortuitously half price if you came ti the first one!

Seeing the white board as I walked into the venue, I was expecting the show to be a dry recount of COVID statistics and political blunders. Yes, it was some of that - but so much more….it was an honest overview of what our beloved leaders were “up to” during the pandemic combined with our reaction. The laughter level was high and consistent and audience engagement was evident throughout. Go see this show!

Dr. Hammond is a pretty funny guy. If you are looking for a good laugh and to perhaps learn a bit about COVID and some of the related political shenanigans he’s your huckleberry.

Enlightening, educational, and entertaining plus lots of laughs. Should be in everyone's top ten on how to pleasure oneself.

Are we ready to laugh about Covid 2 years down the line? Dr Phil Hammond neatly exposes the trail the pandemic left on our lives, not so much highs and lows as lows and lower. Mistakes he made, mistakes others made and asking the question: how can we be led by someone who cannot tell the truth?
You will laugh - and then you will buy a ticket for his other show, How I Ruined Medicine, to laugh some more.
