Description

At a wedding banquet in Hong Kong, guests grapple with absurdist small talk, social awkwardness and an unshakable sense of paralysis in the changeable city. Double Unhappiness is a collection of tragicomic monologues exploring family, self-love, self-hate, office life, gossip life and everything else that makes life in the 2020s special. This is the third international tour of Hong Kong’s award-winning Shax Theatre Group, a youthful and multi-ethnic troupe of undergraduates, postgraduates and academics who banded together to introduce Western theatre to the Asian public.
