Description

Donut Dollies is a story about the women who volunteered with the Red Cross in WWII. This play follows three of those women, Marnie the feisty girl from Jersey, Elnora the wide eyed small town girl from Oregon, and Louise the cosmopolitan General's daughter from Washington D.C. They could not be more different, but throughout their time volunteering as Doughnut Dollies these women forge a bond that will last a lifetime, as they navigate love, loss and the power of kindness in the face of adversity and tragedy.

Fantastic. I would definitely recommend this but sadly this is their last day. I try to come to the Fringe every year and would definitely see anything else written or performed by this group.

Shows that are pre noon at the Fringe are often dismissed as being less worthy somehow. Don’t be fooled this is an excellent show with three great performances. Poignant and relevant and a little known historical context that deserves exposure. Hugely enjoyable so catch it before it finishes in two days time.

Really enjoyed Donut Dollies this morning. The 3 actors were professional and believable and we came away with a doughnut! Would recommend.

Don't miss Donut Dollies!
This a great show not to be missed. Fantastic acting - couldn't single out one actor over another. Each brought a compelling warmth and believe-ability to their roles.
Funny, poignant and not lacking in historical detail the show seamlessly draws together great acting and great storytelling.

An unusual story, about a forgotten aspect of military history, this piece of theatre could have a successful future life.
