International slut and mouthy, old, ethnic poof, Turan Ali tells outrageously funny true gay stories from around the queer world, some heard on Radio 4. Jaw-droppingly hilarious sluttery from this BBC comedy and drama writer/director/producer. He reveals what queers like him really get up to. One of VADA magazine's Top LGBT Picks for Edinburgh Fringe 2019, and in Scene Alba magazine's Top Thirty Shows to see at the Fringe. Mixing theatre, storytelling and comedy with surprising confessions about gay lives today. 'Hilarious and eye-opening' (BBC Radio London). 'Camp as tits and absolutely brilliant!' (Su Pollard).

This is a great show: consummate storytelling with lots of laughs but also some poignant moments. I couldn't believe some of it but I know the stories are true!
Do go!

Stories well told, always funny, morbid at times, and heartening by the end. Didn't want each to end. Really loved the intimate small space, but I really hoped our beloved artist had more direct eye contacts with the general audience (considering there were only eight on my night), instead of constantly engaging with the most lively ones.

Hey hey. Straight audience member here- not frightened. Delightened. Turan is a masterful writer AND storyteller. The images created are lasting, he builds the scene for you and really takes you on four journeys with each story. The third story is a real standout for me: poignant, outrageous, hysterical. I have told my recap of it to four different people! With this show, you get an hour with an experienced and confident storyteller who instantly becomes a trusted narrator and delightful company. Check it out-And tell me what you think of that third story!!

We were a group of 7 "straights" attending the opening night and definitely left very tickled rather than frightened. A really delightful show, very funny, warm and expertly paced. The small venue adds to the storytelling experience and helps draw you in. Highly recommended.

Turan Ali is a great storyteller. Maybe too good – when he told his partner that he wanted to do a show about ʻwhat gay men really get up toʼ, the reply was, well, Don’t frighten the straights… Each night, Ali chooses four out of a suite of 40 stories....

Turan Ali announces himself as an “international slut and mouthy, old, ethnic poof”, but he is far more urbane than he gives himself credit for. In this show he delivers on the title and tells “gay stories from around the queer world” in a warm hearted, engaging style without ever...
